Scrooged

Year: 1988
Director: Richard Donner

Starring: Bill Murray, Karen Allen, Bobcat Goldthwait, John Forsythe, John Glover

Synopsis:

On Christmas Eve, while planning a live adaptation of "A Christmas Carol", a selfish TV executive (Bill Murray) is haunted by three ghosts. These ghosts bring with them lessons of the Christmas spirit, bringing Frank to realize that he must change his ways.

Review:

This is a wonderful modern version of "A Christmas Carol." Bill Murray pretty much carries the entire movie himself. He's just a wonderful actor, and he plays his role so well. The support cast does well too, taking up the roles of the other (moderized) characters from Dicken's story. It's interesting to note that this movie also features three of Bill Murray's brothers, Brian, John, and Joel. This is a very well done movie, great for not just Christmas, but any time of the year.

My Rating:
7/10
