Remember The Titans

Year: 2000

Synopsis:

A black coach, Herman Boone (Denzel Washington) is hired to coach the football team at a newly integrated high school in Alexandria Virginia. As the black and white players learn to work together as a team, they start forming bonds, first bonds of friendship and then bonds of brotherhood. As coach Boone leads the team through an undefeated season, they bring their once divided community together.

Review:

I thought this was a good movie. It's one of those typical Disney movies that leaves you with a warm glow at the end. Denzel Washington is great as always, this time portraying a football coach who has been set up to fail, yet manages to overcome the obstacles of racism and prejudice to triumph. Will Patton also does a very good job as Coach Yoast, the white football coach displaced by Boone. Remember The Titans is a very well done movie, with a good message, I would recommend seeing it.

My Rating:
8/10
