The Man With The Golden Gun

Year: 1974
Director: Guy Hamilton

Starring: Roger Moor, Christopher Lee, Britt Ekland, Maud Adams

Synopsis:

While assigned to find a missing scientist working on a powerful solar cell, James Bond (Roger Moore) is led to believe that a world-class assassin, Francisco Scaramanga (Christopher Lee), is targeting him. It then becomes a game of cat and mouse, while Bond tries to find Scaramanga before Scaramanga finds him.

Review:

Although this wasn't by any means the worst Bond movie, I don't think it was one of the best. The plot was fine, and it was a nice change to have a villain that wasn't Russian or a SPECTRE agent. The fight scene at the kung-fu school didn't really seem to serve any purpose except to cash in on the popularity of kung-fu movies at the time. The movie is still somewhat dated, but nowhere near as much as Live And Let Die. All in all, despite the weak points, it's still not a bad movie.

My Rating:
8/10
