The Long Kiss Goodnight

Year: 1996
Director: Renny Harlin

Starring: Geena Davis, Samuel L. Jackson

Synopsis:

Samantha Caine (Geena Davis) suffers from amnesia. When her past shows up to haunt her, her memories start to surface. With the help of a cheap detective, Mitch Henessy (Samuel L. Jackson), she recovers her memory, and discovers she was formerly a government assassin. With her former employers out to kill her, she'll need to use all her skills to stay ahead of them, and to foil a terrorist plot.

Review:

Ridiculous... simply ridiculous. This movie could have been good. The plot and the action were certainly good enough, but the acting and the dialogue certainly leaves a lot to be desired. It's one of those movies that seems to be trying to be and action and a comedy, but never really succeeds with either one. Geena Davis is certainly a beautiful and sexy woman, but she just doesn't quite have what it takes to play an action role. If you like cheesy action flicks, you may want to rent this one.

My Rating:
6/10
