Labyrinth

Year: 1986
Director: Jim Henson

Starring: Jennifer Connelly, David Bowie

Synopsis:

Jennifer Connelly plays a young girl, babysitting her baby brother. When he won't stop crying, she inadvertently calls upon goblins to kidnap the baby. The goblin king (David Bowie) tells her that she must find her way through a dangerous labyrinth to his castle. If she cannot make it to the castle by midnight, and rescue the baby from the goblins, the baby would become one of them.

Review:

Although this movie is geared towards a younger audience, I enjoyed it. The only real problem I saw with the movie was Jennifer Connelly was overacting severely, although I will admit that it could just be because her character seems to be obsessed with acting, and fantasy stories. Aside from that, it was a very good movie, with a nice, simple plot, great scenery and sets, and some very good supporting characters.

My Rating:
8/10
