Synopsis:

After losing a promotion at work, getting beaten up, wrecking his car, and just having a lousy day, news reporter Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey) complains and rages to God. God (Morgan Freeman) then responds by giving Bruce hisdivine powers, and challenges him to do better. At first, Bruce uses the powers for his own ends, getting himself the promotion to anchorman, and just having a good time. But as he starts getting millions of prayers from others, he realizes that being God is really not that easy.

Review:

Some people would find this movie offensive... I didn't, I liked it. While it wasn't biblically accurate, it was a fun movie, with some good messages in it. The main plot is very similar to "A Christmas Carol" or "Groundhog Day". The main character starts the movie as somewhat of a jerk, but by the end of the movie, is a changed person. So, it wasn't a completely original concept, but it's still a good movie, and I would recommend seeing it.
