Synopsis:
Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale), is a young Wall Street yuppie. But underneath, he's a homicidal maniac, killing co-workers, homeless men, models, prostitutes, and others for various reasons. He sinks deeper and deeper into his insanity, not able to tell whether or not these murders are real, or a psychotic delusion.
Review:
This is a very well done movie. I think this is one of Christian Bale's best roles so far, really playing two different roles, the self absorbed yuppie, and the psychotic killer; he just blends the two roles together so well. This is one of those movies that really gets inside your head. This movie is a near perfect blend of horror and dark comedy. My only complaint would be one or two unecessary sex scenes that really do not need to be there. Other than that, this movie is well directed, and well acted. It's simply a good movie.
My Rating:
8/10
